Gabris Landscaping was founded in January of 2007 as a result of the ice storm that left Springfield, MO in shambles. Owner Jeff Gabris, with the help of his brother Jeremy started the business as a partnership. Both were students at Missouri State University (MSU). Jeremy was finishing his last semester with a double major in real estate and finance. Jeff was just beginning his degree in entrepreneurship. When MSU called school off for a week, the brothers decided to make the most of their time off. They bought a trailer to pull with Jeremy’s Ford Explorer and began hauling off tree debris for neighbors and friends.
When Spring came around, the tree debris clean up had really slowed down, so the duo decided to try mowing lawns. Upon graduation, Jeremy was offered a job, leaving the business for Jeff to take over on his own. At the end of 2007, Jeff bought Jeremy’s share of the company and became the sole proprietor. Over the next few years, Jeff weathered through economic depression. As a full-time student, he faced many challenges balancing school and work, inevitably building the company to where it stands today.
Built on a business background, the key to our success is customer service, dependability, and quality work. After finishing his graduate degree from MSU, Gabris sought out an education in the various aspects of landscaping. Jeff’s goal was to provide a “one-stop shop” offering extensive landscape knowledge and the highest quality of landscape services to the Springfield, Missouri area. After becoming an ISA Certified Arborist (MW-5363A), a Licensed Pesticide Applicator, and a Certified Backflow Tester, the company experienced significant growth. As a full-service landscape maintenance and installation company, it is clear that his initial goal for the company has been achieved.
